Who we are
This website is run by Basingstoke House Clearance. This page explains what we do with the details you give us when you ask for a quote, call or message us, and what you can ask us to do about it.
What we collect
- What you tell us: your name, phone number, email address, postcode or address, and what you need clearing.
- Photos you send with a quote request.
- Calls and messages: your number, when you called or messaged, and what was said in messages.
- Visits to this site: basic statistics such as which pages were viewed and how you found us, used to see what is working.
How we use it
- To price your job, arrange it and keep in touch with you about it.
- To answer your questions and follow up on a quote you asked for.
- To improve this website.
We don't send you marketing unless you ask for it.
Who we share it with
- The local clearance firm that does your job. We pass your details and photos to them so they can price and carry out the work.
- Companies that run our systems, such as our phone, messaging and website hosting providers, who handle it only on our behalf.
- Where the law requires it, for example a valid request from a public authority.
We never sell your details or pass them to anyone for their own marketing.
Your photos
Photos you send may be used as examples on our websites. Before we use one, we remove the location and camera data stored in the file, and we never say who sent it or where it was taken. If you don't want a photo you sent used, tell us and we'll take it down.
How long we keep it
We keep your details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and job, and to keep proper business records. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct them or delete them, and object to how we use them. To do any of this, call 01256 236456.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
