Before you take a suite out
Do
- Turn off the water and make sure the pipes are disconnected
- Check the [Hampshire tips page](/hampshire-tips/) for booking, vans and what they take
- Measure the stairs and doorways the bath has to pass through
- Keep tiles, rubble and old pipework separate from the suite
Don't
- Lift a cast iron or stone resin bath on your own
- Fly-tip a suite in a lay-by or on farmland
- Hand it to anyone who cannot show a registered waste carrier licence
- Leave it out in the garden where it can crack or collect water
Doing a full bathroom refit
A suite is often only part of the waste. Old tiles, plasterboard and rubble come out with it, and they are handled differently from the bath and toilet.
